What is it?

• Progress Energy is sponsoring a solar water heating pilot program to measure and validate energy savings associated with implementing residential solar water heating.
• $1000 rebates from Progress Energy will be given to 50 participants from Western North Carolina

Who qualifies?

• Participants must live from Western North Carolina· Participants must be Progress Energy clients with good credit
• Participant location must have an operable electric hot water heater in service
• Participant location must be an owner-occupied, single family home that is primary residence
• Participants must use a Progress Energy “Authorized Installer” (we are one!)
  

How does it work?

1. Contact First Light to get a site evaluation
2. First Light Solar will help you apply for the rebate
3. If you are selected we install the solar system and monitoring equipment
4. Progress Energy will visit your home 4-5 times to collect data
5. After 18 months your monitoring equipment is removed or disabled and you keep your operating system
